Blame Craig. You know the Craig we mean, the one with the big list. That Craig has everyone...and it's mostly all for sale. One day a nice collection of old gear was spotted on Craig's list. Problem was, to get it you had to take everything...a very active ham's lifetime collection of gear...radios, amplifiers, test equipment, parts, antennas...you name it.

People often throw around the word "ton" in conversation ("wow, this thing weighs a ton") but it's rarely a literal ton that's meant. In this case, though, it may well be a literal ton of radios that followed us home. It took eight truck loads to haul it all, and lots of it was heavy. Thus, our ton of radios found a new home.
